Collection for the Capuchin Day Centre for the Homeless takes place Sat 24th Nov from 12pm to 3pm in the 'Crying Room' of the Church of Our Lady, Blessington in association with Lakeshore Striders A.C. Items requested by the centre include; new sleeping bags (available from Charles Camping at a reduced cost of €10 when you indicate it's for the collection), toiletries (shampoo, shower gel, deodorant, razors, toothpaste, tooth brushes, etc), nappies, baby food & formula. Tai Chi Classes in aid of the Coimín Centre in High Definition Fitness Gym (under the Lemon Tree) every Tues at 3pm. Suitable for all ages & fitness levels, this is a gentle form of exercise at which everyone is welcome. Tai Chi improves coordination, balance, joint mobility & core strength. Participants are asked to make a €3 contribution each for the Coimín Centre. Thanks to Matt & Greg in HD Fitness who very kindly make the studio available free of charge.

Volunteers Urgently Needed by Age Action to teach Older People to use Computers in Blessington Library! Classes are held on Thursday afternoons, from 2pm to 4pm, & run for 5 weeks. Basic computer skills & an interest in working with older people are needed but patience & a good sense of humour are just as important. Training will be provided.
