Our aim is to provide a public library service for Blessington and surrounding areas. The library contains a large stock of books, cds and audio books. We also offer free internet access.
Open to all members of the public.

Blessington Library is located over Dunnes Stores in the New Town Centre.

Opening Hours:

Monday - 10am to 5pm.
Tuesday - 10am to 8.30pm.
Wed. -  10am to 5pm.
Thurs. - 10am to 8.30pm.
Fri. - 10am to 5pm.
Sat. - 10am to 5pm.
Sunday - Closed.

To join the library please call in and bring proof of your address. Juniors also need a parent's signature.

Becoming a member of Blessington Library (or any library in Wicklow) gives you free access to over 140 newspapers online, free access to online encylopaedias such as Britannica etc.

Ongoing Activities

Saturday Story and Craft time
Saturday, 11.30 a.m.
Children aged 7 and under will enjoy being read to and doing a simple craft on Saturday mornings. Session lasts about 45 minutes and like all activities in the library, there is no charge.

Book Club
Last Friday of month,  11.30 a.m.
Our Book Club runs on the last Friday of the month at 11.30 a.m. This is a great opportunity for booklovers to get together and chat about books. Currently the club are reading 'The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks' and the choice for October is 'Major Pettigrew's Last Stand'. New members are always welcome so if you're interested just come along.

Blessington Knit-Wits
Wednesday,  11.00 a.m.
Our ever-popular Knit-Wits meet on Wednesday mornings at 11 a.m. New knitters and/or crochet fans are always welcome. Just bring wool and needles or crochet hook or if you're already working on something bring that along.
