On behalf of the Gathering Committee, we would like to thank each and everyone who were instrumental in ensuring a successful weekend of 12th/13th October. Among the events planned for the festival are:

Traditional Food Tasting
West Wicklow House will host traditional food tasting on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th.
Jazz Performance
Kilbride & Lakeside Jazz Band will perform in the Library @ 12.00 noon on Saturday 12th.
Traditional afternoon of music and dance
On Sunday 13th, Murphy's pub will host an afternoon of traditional music and dance.

'Where's Wally - Blessington style Competition' - on Saturday 12th.  

This is a competition for 5 - 14 year olds.  All children for this event must register at the festival office, which will be situated in the square, on the morning of the event.Wearing Wally gear is a must!

Bring & Swap A Book

On Sunday 13th, we are having a 'Bring a Book, Swap a Book' event in the Blessington Bookshop.

Busking Competition

We are having a busking  competition on Saturday 12th and this event has been kindly sponsored by the Credit Union, putting up a €100.00 prize fund. The presentation of prizes for the busking  competition will be held in d'Caf Youth Cafe @ 8.00pm. Bealin's Pub will provide a meal for two for the winners.

This event is open to all ages.

Old prints to canvas

Blessington Pharmacy have kindly agreed to sponsor copies of old prints put onto canvas and these will be sold for a local charity.

Pompom Bombing!

We are 'Pompom Bombing' the town for the weekend so ..... we need wool - lots of wool - to make pompoms  in as many colours as possible. LET'S DECORATE OUR TOWN!!!

Historical Walk

Aidan Cruise has kindly agreed to lead an historical walk of the town and no better person to do so.





Farmer’s Market

An Outdoor Farmer's Market will take place on Sunday 13th October

Variety Concert

On Saturday 12th, there will be a variety concert held in aid of Blessington and Baltinglass Day Care.  This concert will take place in the Tramway Theatre.  Tickets are €12.00 and can be obtained by phoning 087 293 4806 or 087 919 5991.

Local entertainment

The local pubs are coming on board with us providing entertainment for the weekend – again, details will be posted.
